On February 27, 2025, FPT and GAM ESPORTS (under GAM Entertainment) announced cooperation before the 2025 season with important steps in the companion strategy to promote the professional development of Esports Vietnam, affirming the potential and position in the international arena.
Vietnam is one of the fastest growing Eports markets in Southeast Asia. According to the evaluation data, the Vietnam Entertainment Electronic Sports Association (Viresa) and OTA Network has just been announced (Vietnam E-Commerce White Book 2022-2023) has made remarkable figures about the Esports market. The number of people participating in electronic entertainment in Vietnam reached 28.2 million people, accounting for 28.7% of the population. In 2023, the number of eSports followers in Vietnam accounted for 16% of the total population, equivalent to Indonesia and Taiwan (China). The Vietnam Esports raising strategy was officially accompanied by FPT and GAM ESPORTS from the first cooperation event in August, 2024. From that cooperation agreement, FPT and GAM set goals to put Esports into the fields, products and services of FPT ecosystem such as education, digital content and telecommunications … to gradually promote, raise awareness and attract the attention of the community for eSports.
